Hello! I want to tell you my first experience in Bali. This is it.
Last week, grade eight students of Junior High School 1 Srengat went to Bali Island. I went there at 06.00 by the first bus. I was so happy, but I couldn’t sleep because my friend was very noisy. We had lunch in Besuki, East Java at 12.30, then we continued the journey again. After some time we saw Paiton PLTU with its high towers. At 16.30 we went to Ketapang harbour to cross into Gilimanuk harbour. But it was rainy there. Finally, we went to the bus with wet clothes. At 22.00 we went to Made Bali hotel. Then, we took a bath, had dinner, and took a rest.
Next day I got up at 03.30. Then, I had a dawn prayer. After that I took a bath and prepared to Art Center. Before we went to Art Center, we had breakfast. Art Center was a place to conserve the culture in Bali. There we saw a building named Arda Candra. At 07.40 we went to Bali Monument or Balinese People Fight Monument. It was located at Renon high street, exactly in the middle of Renon court. At 08.12 we continued to Kuta beach. In Kuta Beach I and my friend played sea water and took a photograph with tourist. At 11.00 we went to Tanjung Benoa Watersport to have lunch together. After we had lunch we went to Penyu Island to see many turtle there. At 13.00 we went to GWK. At GWK we took a photograph, but we couldn’t see the Kecak dance because it was too long to wait it. Finally, we went to the hotel to take a rest.
Next day, we checked out hotel and went to Karang Kurnia to shop many kinds of clothes. I bought some for my mother, my family and also my self. After that we went to Putra Barong to watch Barong dance. Then we continued to Tanah Lot. The journey to Tanah Lot was rather long, so I was slept on the bus. The scenery in Tanah Lot was very beautiful, but we couldn’t go to its temple because the water was tide. Last, we went to Joger. Joger was an identity of Bali Island. I only bought a T-shirt there, because the price was very expensive. After that we continued the journey to school. On the way I could sleep weel. But, I didn’t go to school, I went to Mrs. Nurwid’s house to prepare the English story telling contest.
I’m very happy, because it is my first experience to Bali. We can learn the culture of Bali and we can learn about kindness of Balinese people.
